Avery Cruz

Avery is a native of Lancaster, California and is the Adult Gi Lead Instructor of Culture BJJ. He began his martial arts training in 1999 while serving in the Marine Corps and earned his Black Belt instructor status in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program in 2006. Avery taught numerous courses until retiring in March 2016 following 22 years of active service. He began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2007 while stationed in Quantico, Virginia and continued training at various times and locations while on active duty. In 2014 he started training with his twin brother and owner of ACBJJ, Tony, until he was afforded the opportunity to train under Professor Mark Reding at Reding Martial Arts in Denton, TX. He was promoted to Blue Belt in October 2016 and earned one stripe before moving to Oklahoma and continuing his Jiu Jitsu journey. In September 2020 Avery was awarded his Purple Belt and most recently received the 3rd stripe on his Purple Belt from Professor Tony Cruz of ACBJJ in March 2023. Over the years he has competed and placed in several different BJJ tournaments and cage competitions. Avery and his wife Cheyenne have three children, Triston, Urijah (gray belt) and Illeanna and reside in Yukon.

Jake Walton

Jake, a Ponca City native, is the NoGi Lead Instructor of Culture BJJ for both the adults and the Culture Kids program. A Judo Brown Belt, Jake has been training Martial Arts for more than 6 years and training Jiu Jitsu for more than 4. Jake was awarded his Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2021 by Professor Jake Fox of Fox Fitness & BJJ/Aforce BJJ in Wichita, KS. Jake is always eager to learn and share knowledge and received the 3rd stripe on his Blue Belt from Professor Tony Cruz of ACBJJ in July 2023. Jake and his wife Caitlyn have two children, Jackson (gray belt) and Layla (white belt) and reside in Yukon.

Keilan Dodson

Keilan, an Oklahoma City native, is the owner of Culture BJJ along with his wife Nikki.  Keilan is the Culture Kids Gi head coach and the adult’s assistant coach. Keilan began training Jiu Jitsu in March 2019 and was awarded his Blue Belt in September 2020 after a year and a half of training. Shortly after receiving his Blue Belt Keilan started coaching as the assistant kid’s coach and the assistance adult’s fundamentals coach alongside Coach Avery. In July 2023 Keilan received the 4th stripe on his Blue Belt by Professor Tony Cruz of ACBJJ. His passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and coaching led him to open Culture BJJ in July 2022. Keilan and his wife Nikki have two girls, Kyliee and Kaitlyn (both gray belts) and reside in Mustang.

Professor Tony Cruz

Culture Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an Independent Affiliate of Professor Tony Cruz of ACBJJ in Cushing, Texas.

Professor Tony Cruz is the Owner and Lead Instructor of ACBJJ Academy in Cushing, TX.  He is under the direction and guidance of his Professor, Mark Reding, and is an Independent Affiliate of Reding Martial Arts in Denton, TX.  Professor Tony began his training in Rusk, TX under Coach Steven Garza of Rusk MMA in January of 2012 prior to opening ACBJJ Academy's The Adrenaline Chamber in November of 2013. Upon earning his Blue Belt in March of 2015 from Coach Steven Garza, Professor Tony then became an Independent Affiliate of Reding Martial Arts where he earned his Purple Belt in October of 2016, his Brown Belt in January of 2019 and his Black Belt in April of 2021 under Professor Mark Reding. 

Professor Tony's lineage is as follows: Mitsuyo Maeda, Carlos Gracie, Helio Gracie, Rolls Gracie, Romero Cavalcanti, Octavio Couto, Mark Reding
